Calling for 100% Accessible Housing in Toronto

CWDO Presented 100% Accessibility to the City of Toronto’s Planning and Housing Committee on June 15. Terry Green assisted in developing this presentation and was present to provide comments. Presentation was shared with the board by email. Unfortunately, the city chose to use WebEx which made it impossible for people using screen readers to get access.

CWDO wrote to Premier Doug Ford on August 21 to express appreciation for naming a minister responsible for seniors and accessibility – Raymond Cho – and to remind the premier of the many campaign promises which were made in the all-candidates debate on May 16. 2014 All Hands on Braille Camp – A success!

The All Hands on Braille Camp went on this summer, it was  a week-long summer camp dedicated to bringing the exciting world of braille to children 8-12 years old who are blind. It was A fun, exciting and intense braille instruction.  We received positive feedback from all involved! Thanks go out to all involved.
